About Nereide

Nereide grew up in Chepstow, Monmouthshire. She has been involved with dressage for many years as a successful rider, trainer, centre owner and show organiser. She started her equestrian career in showjumping and then took up eventing, before concentrating on dressage. She has produced horses from three-year-olds to Advanced level in all three disciplines, including Wellington Vitoria, a £400 Irish 3-year-old who went clear at Badminton. The poor dressage score caused Nereide to realise the significance of flatwork in overall placings. Nereide is now also consultant to the Emirates Equestrian Federation.

Three things you may not know about Nereide

  1. Started the first national Dressage to Music competitions in 1980.
  2. Helped develop dressage in the United Arab Emirates over the last 20 years.
  3. Has fallen off more windsurfers in a month than in a lifetime of riding horses!
