CTR qualified riders part 4: Chantelle Symonds

  • Posted: 29 April 2017

Horse and riderThis is the fourth of our five part series on riders who have qualified for the Wendover Heights Equine CT Rider Winter Dressage Championships 2017 with Dressage Anywhere. We meet the fabulous Chantelle Symonds and Harvey who have qualified at Medium level.

How did you hear about Chiltern and Thames Rider Magazine membership and how long have you been a member?

I heard about the magazine and membership through a friend and thought that it would be a great opportunity as the classes in the championship run up to medium as well as music freestyle which most unaffiliated championships don't. I became a member a few weeks ago and decided to give qualifying a go!

How did you hear about Dressage Anywhere?

I heard about Dressage Anywhere from some advertising on Facebook.

Tell us a bit about your horse

Harvey is 14.3hh Dun spotted appaloosa competing at Medium and starting training towards his changes with the hope of eventually competing him at PSG. We've been together since 2011 when he was an unbroken three year old.

What are your goals for 2017?

Qualify for the PetPlan Area Festival 2nd Rounds at Medium (British Dressage), get selection for the Senior Home International at Medium and place in the top 3 at Chiltern and Thames Winter Dressage Championships in May.

Tell us something we might not know about you

I'm 23 years old, based in Wiltshire and work as an accountant alongside my professional qualifications and am moving to Edinburgh with my fiancee after we get married in October!
