The team behind The Three Amigos FUNdraising Group have been fundraising for Cancer Research UK since 2006, raising a fantastic £102,000 over the years.
Kath O'Donnell and her husband began organising fundraising events following Andy's diagnosis with testicular cancer back in 2004. Originally a one off event, the T Off Trophy was held in 2006 to give something back for the care he had received. The event was a huge success and is now in it's twelfth year!
The Doggy Dash for Life followed in 2011, a K9 version of Race for Life. The idea came from their Yorkshire Terrier, Oscar and his love of walks. Sadly Oscar passed away last year following a battle with cancer and Muttley has now taken on the role.
In 2012 Neigh to Cancer was born, a dressage event with relaxed rules for horse and rider to wear pink and raise awareness. Raising around £4000, this popular event is great for everyone, from beginner to more experienced riders. Dressage Anywhere is very proud to sponsor a class in this year's competition!
The team have also organised Hack off Cancer, a sponsored horse ride over Wardle, Midgley Moor Fell Race and Little 'Pink' Borough, where local schools and businesses are invited to dress their windows in pink to raise money.
