Dressage Anywhere likes a challenge and Kim Jones certainly provided us with one! Based in South Carolina USA, Kim is a Grade II Para dressage rider with hopes to qualify for a national competition.
Faced with difficulties in travelling to horses to ride and compete and a lack of funds for international competition, Kim heard about Dresage Anywhere at the World Equestrian Games earlier this year. After riding a couple of training classes, Kim asked if we could help her qualify by enabling her to enter a Para Freestyle to Music test in the FEI Para Practice Test class.
It was a complicated request, we needed to re-engineer our software in a short space of time as the window to qualify was fast approaching. To add to the pressure, Kim had difficulties in getting a horse to ride and then came Hurricaine Irene.
It all came together at the eleventh hour and we're waiting with baited breath to hear if Kim has qualified. Watch this space!
